Dialing In: Quick Setup Guide

Adjustable depth screws on both sides- set once for your usual dose.

1. Dose: load your usual dose (e.g., 18–20g).
2. Level: use the distributor side for 2–3 gentle turns to even the bed.
3. Tamp: flip to the tamper side and press straight down for a flat surface.
4. Pull the shot: aim for a 1:2 ratio (e.g., 18g in → 36g out) in ~25–30 sec, then fine-tune grind as needed.

Distribute first to level the grounds, then flip to tamp — both sides have adjustable depth screws, so once you've dialled in your dose, every shot lands at the exact same pressure and bed level.

Compatible with 51mm Delonghi portafilters including Dedica, Stilosa and most home Delonghi/SMEG machines. The black aluminium handle gives a solid 500g feel in hand.

Coffee Nerd, is it worth your money?

I make the answer simple, yes it is. I bought the bottomless portafilter with the aluminium rosewood handle and the high diffusion espresso shower screen, both for the Breville Express machine. I am still trialling the product to perfect my coffee but having these items definately made my coffee machine produce a lot better coffee with plenty of crema on my black coffee. The service and information I got from the company is also top of the range. I strongly recommend these products. So if you are not sure, go for it, you wont be disappointed.

Weighing, timing shots

Using the E setting - time and weight I can now easily see of my shots are within the weight ration and ideal pour time.
One just has to judge the shot button press for the end of pour delay when programming the shot button
