The portafilter is made with a premium wooden handle and rust-resistant premium 304 stainless steel. The bottomless handle is easy to clean and has no dead angles for cleaning. Basket is also included.
It is compatible with 54mm Breville coffee machines and Sage coffee machines.

The bottomless design allows for observation of the flow column, rate and espresso extraction colour, leading to far superior consistency.
A bottomless portafilter will also yield 50% more crema due to the lack of contact with any other surfaces, leaving your beautiful espresso bubbles in their original form all in tact. More crema = more taste.

Our portafilters come with a double basket, which holds approximately 18 grams of coffee.
What coffee machines will this work on?
This portafilter is most commonly used with 54mm 3 ear Breville coffee machines, also known as Sage coffee machines. The most common models are: Breville, BES840, BES870, BES878, BES880, BES500, however this will work with most machines that use a 54mm 3 ear portafilter.

How do I dial in my grind?
The general rule, is if you are putting 18 grams of coffee in, you want to extract approximately 36 grams of espresso, and this should take 25-30 seconds to pull from your coffee machine.
If it is faster than this, you will need to make your grind faster.
If it comes out slower, you will need to make your grind coarser.
